I am walking with Mass General Hospital’s Mother’s Day Peace Walk team to support the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute. Please consider a donation towards my fundraising goal of $2,000 at https://www.mothersdaywalk4peace.org/MaraBloom .
The work of the Peace Institute is so important as it provides services and support for families of loved ones impacted by homicide from gun and other violence, as well as supporting incarcerated loved ones to prevent cycles of retaliatory violence.
The programs, training and advocacy is crucial to ending the cycle of violence and supporting these families. In addition, to culturally sensitive training and support groups, the Peace Institute also provides funding for burials of loved ones.
Together we can make a difference through promoting social and racial justice, and ending gun violence!
